Tuesday 12th June 2012 – doors 7pm
starring Buster Shuffle and very special guests Regency and Running Club

Signed to EMI’s People Like You label, Buster Shuffle are taking their blend of piano bashing cockney ska, rock’n’roll & eminently catchy feel-good tales to the masses. Having already supported The Holloways, The Wombats, The Paddingtons, The Rifles, White Lies, Goldie Looking Chain, Chas & Dave, Broilers and The Creepshow they’ve built a wonderfully diverse fan base. The Sun, Daily Mirror, The Times, Guardian, Time Out, Uncut, Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio 2) have all already sung their praises and with members from The Blockheads, The Specials, The Infidels & Art Brut all guesting on their next album more critical acclaim won’t be long in coming.

LISF Winter special

FISHBONE

@O2 Academy Islington
Sunday 4th November 2012 – doors 6pm
plus very special guests Phoenix City All-stars & more tba

From the shifting faultlines of Hollywood fantasies and the economic and racial tensions of Reagan’s America, Fishbone rose to become one of the most original bands of the last 25 years. With a blistering combination of funk-frenzied ska, punk, soul & more they demolished the walls of genre and challenged the racial stereotypes and political order of the music industry and the nation. Arguably one of the finest live bands ever their sound has often been imitated, but never duplicated.

The band is celebrating 25 years and currently promoting their latest EP Crazy Glue and full-length feature documentary at festivals, “Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone”, which is narrated by Laurence Fishburne.
